The Team

BIOGRAPHY: Roger Wheelock, President

Roger Wheelock is the President of Greater Than I Ministries, a non-profit corporation established for the purpose of providing creative Biblical Worldview teaching materials to Christian churches and home-schools in America. Roger is an ordained pastor and worship leader with over 30 years of intimate experience in Christian leadership. He has produced 6 worship C.D.’s from which many of his original songs have been played in Christian radio stations across the U.S.

Over the years, he and his family have discovered that the Christian church is having little effect in the culture of America because we have not been educated and equipped to apply our Bible to all of life. Therefore we believe it is urgent that the Church place renewed emphasis and effort upon education as the primary means of evangelism.

Scripture states: “My people perish from lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). Our purpose, therefore, is to teach the application of scripture to all areas of life so that our Christian faith will once again become relevant and effective in this lost world.

Roger and his family have developed a series of teachings on DVD that could be described as a “crash course” for developing a truly Biblical Worldview. The series is entitled “Thinking Like a Christian Video Series©, and it is created for use by Christian parents and their families, as well as for high school and adult study groups.

Roger and his wife of 43 years, Elaine, live in McKinney, Texas, and have been blessed with 3 children and 10 grandchildren.

BIOGRAPHY: Tressa Paavola, Secretary and Social Media Coordinator

Tressa (Wheelock) Paavola grew up in a Christian home and attended private Christian schools throughout her youth until the middle of her sophomore year when she began homeschooling until her graduation in 2000. By age 19, she entered into a career working for a Fortune 500 company where she spent the next 14 years. During her time there, Tressa met her husband, started a family, and worked her way into leadership where she played a vital role in building, training, and managing business teams within the corporation.

While in management, Tressa quickly learned that political correctness and “tolerance” had taken priority over freedom of speech and religion within the workforce and our society. Countless times, she faced situations that could have caused her to compromise her Biblical values; however, having a solid Biblical worldview helped to identify, sort, and resolve her position and approach within those challenging situations during her career, leading to her continued success.

Tressa made it her goal to be Salt and Light to those she worked with for as long as she was in the workforce. Then, through a string of “Divine coincidences” the Lord provided a way for her to leave the workforce to take on her dream of being a full-time mother and home educator.

Tressa helps create marketing materials for the Thinking Like a Christian Video Series and is the Director of Marketing and Social Media for GTI Ministries.

Tressa and her husband, Sean, live in McKinney, Texas, and have been blessed with four children.
