Blessings & A Happy New Year
We hope you and yours had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's celebration.
The start of a new year represents a time of transition, reflecting on the past and looking forward with hope to the changes coming or being pursued. Sometimes those changes bring uncertainty, and given the state of affairs in America we certainly have our share, but as Christians we know we can place our trust in God and rest in Him. It's for this very reason that we believe so strongly in the need to think Biblically at every turn, seeking God for support and guidance through both the hopeful and uncertain moments in life.
We at Greater Than I Ministries are entering into 2017 with high expectations regarding the changes on the horizon, both as a family and as a ministry. While we look forward to those changes, we are also reflecting back on what brought us here: what started as a small study group with a desire to dig a little deeper and a little wider turned into a Saturday morning men's study at a local church. Soon thereafter, it developed into a Sunday night series that laid the ground work for and eventually evolved into what became the Thinking Like a Christian Video Series.
It has taken four years, but by God's good grace we now have a complete series that can be used by parents and small groups everywhere. It took a lot of effort from the team and would not have been possible without God guiding and using us in our various circumstances in life; for that, we owe Him all of the praise and glory. We are truly grateful for His inspiration and guidance.
So what does the future hold for the team?
This new site is a start. In many ways, this is the first official launch of our website. Though we have always had an online presence, we were never in an easy position to make updates or changes, and we needed to place most of our focus on completing the series and engaging with people directly.
With this new new website, we now have an easier system to manage, allowing us to begin work on improving our catalog and providing more tools to help you, your family, and your friends, to become better equipped to "do the work of the ministry".
What does this mean for you?
- More blog entries - We hope to get into a regular rotation with the blog, providing 'application' articles for worldview topics.
- Podcasts - Probably a little further down the road, but we want to make some content available for all of the commuters out there.
We desire to make ongoing improvements in the content, availability, accessibility, and depth of our studies. We believe in continuous reflection and reform and welcome your ideas and suggestions. If you have anything you want to share with the team, or if you have suggestions and want to know what you can do to help out and get involved, please do not hesitate to reach out to us through the Contact Us page.
We are a small team, but we believe in this mission to help the church respond to God's call to be salt and light in this darkened culture.
God Bless, and a Happy New Year!
