What Does the Bible Say About History?

Session #2: A Christian perspective on History

What Does the Bible Say About History?

Whatever worldview we base our lives upon must have a reliable foundation. How reliable is the foundation of the Bible compared to other ancient religions and current worldviews like Humanism and Darwinism? Was America the result of man's work alone, or God's work through man? Is there any proof that God is still working in America in the same way as He did in Israel of old?

It has been often said that those who don't know their history are condemned to repeat it. In recent years the teaching in American universities has opted to reverse that statement, teaching now that the only thing we learn from history is that there is nothing to learn from history.

Which idea is true? What Does the Bible Say About History?

The Christian worldview simply states that history is actually His-Story. God's memory of His workings throughout man's timeline.

It is our experience that EVERY vocation or station in life has a history of successes or failures behind it. Thus, if we want to keep from repeating the same errors that many have suffered from before we came along, it is wise to learn from the history that has preceded us.

This video will give every Christian a strong foundation for the faith that we place in the God of all History.
